- A gas powerbox can only be used on 2-stroke engines, you connect it to the manifold. A powerbox stores the overpressure of your intake gases at each exhaust stroke and adds it again at the next intake stroke because then there is again underpressure. This ensures a better filling of the crankcase space and broadens/strengthens the "power band"
